The Frisco Bridge

This work likely depicts the Frisco Bridge (also known as the Memphis Bridge or the Great Bridge).

When it was first built in 1892, it was the only bridge across the lower Mississippi River and was originally designed to carry not only trains, but also buggy and pedestrian traffic.
