The Country Store

slider_storeTitle “The Country Store” (1988)

Miss Alice painted mainly outdoor scenes, but this painting shares the importance of a country store from its potbellied wood stove and goods to serving as a community gathering place.

The painting was a commission for Robert Clayton and painted in 1988. It was purchased from his estate by Tim Moseley and donated to the Museum and currently on view.
