Art Starts at Alice Moseley! Second Saturday at the Alice Moseley Folk Art and Antique Museum will begin at 10:00 A.M. with a complimentary pancake brunch lasting until 12:00 P.M. Come celebrate the opening of our new show, Falling in Love with Folk Art, featuring Mississippi folk artists.
 
 
Artists include Barbara SteeleThibodeaux, a contemporary folk artist that paints in the naïve style; Pat Thomas,blues man and outsider artist; Earl Wayne Simmons, found object sculptor and painter; L.V. Hull, painter and yard vernacular artist; Frank Stewart, potter;and Lamar Sorrento, contemporary painter. The show will last until March12, 2010.
 
The art for this show will be shown in The Arts of Hancock County gallery located in the museum. Most pieces will be for sale in the gallery AND online at Southern Folk Art.
 
 
 
 
The current show, Spencer Gray: One Man’s Treasure, will continue until Friday, February 12.
 
 
The Art of Yoga will continue on Wednesday nights from 5:30-6:30 P.M. Class size is limited, so call today to reserve your spot! The cost is only $10/class. This class is a gentle yoga class ranging from beginner to advanced levels catering to both the group and the individual. Call the museum (228) 467-9223 to register.
 
 
Wine, Women & Watercolor resumes at the museum. Enjoy an evening of artistic creativity and a little wine.
