LIFE HAS SO MANY ANGLES- As discussed in prior comments, my dad liked routine and did not fight life and knew it was easier to just go with the flow. Life has so many angles, describes my mom. Alice Moseley was challenged to find out how many angles there are and how things can be done differently and maybe a little better. This painting won first place in a Mississippi Museum of Arts show in 1986, and looks the way it looks because my mom became friends with Mississippi's wonderful Ethel Wright Mohammed. Mrs. Mohammed did rural scenes much like my mom, but hers were stitched not painted.I think my mom just decided one day to do one painting in a pattern that a quilter might use. As mom says in her video,"My paintings don't all look alike, but that's good." On a deeper level, my mom believed that the world's problems could be better solved if we all had a better ability to understand each other's perceptions. Life really does have many angles and sadly, we so often presume that our angle is the only one with any validity.
