LIFE GETS TEGOUS DON'T IT- is the deep country way of saying tedious, but you get the idea: YOU PLANT THE COTTON;YOU CHOP OR HOE THE COTTON;YOU PICK THE COTTON and next spring YOU PLANT THE COTTON;YOU CHOP THE COTTON; YOU PICK THE COTTON. The originator of this statement certainly was not one of our most literate citizens, but as my mom would say,"HE HAD A LOAD OF COMMONSENSE." My mom did the worrying in our family. I'm sure my dad worried once or twice in his lifetime, but I think he limited his worrying to  just about mom when she was sick. My daddy maintained a high level of confidence that whatever needed doing, Mom would get it done. He went to Firestone every day they wanted him to work to work and gave Mom the paycheck on Friday.  The next week, he went to work the 6 or 7 days Firestone wanted him to work, and gave Mom the paycheck on Friday. My dad's life probably was somewhat 'tegeous' although I'm not sure he ever thought of it that way. My dad felt that life is the way it is so what is the use of fighting it. W.J. Moseley, 'Mose' to my mom, was a man who knew how to be happy and who made others feel happy just being around him. When he died at the age of 80, he had a list of things he planned to do next week.  I'm sure he had found a new salve that had him hopeful  his wornout knees would be healed in time for the season that filled him with the most joy, quail and deer seasons.
