LABOR VERSUS MANAGEMENT This print is one of everyone's favorites because,whether we are labor or the boss there is usually a strongly held opinion that there is a lot of room for improvement in the way that those people, on the other side,do their job. Bosses often see workers as somewhat mulish,i.e., lazy and stubborn, Workers see bosses as too demanding and never satisfied no matter how hard one works. In this print, the mule is on a sitdown strike and the angrier the farmer gets, the more determinedly stubborn becomes the mule. An old descriptive phrase was, "You are just being mule-headed." Mules were strong and good workers, but were known for their stubbornness. This print will be appreciated by those who tend to be a little stubborn and, an even more appreciated gift for those who live with the mule-headed.
